Amit Rathore.
Ideas built into systems.
For more than two decades, Amit has built software around a recurring question: how can people use what they know to make better decisions together?
Selected work
From information
to understanding.
At Runa, Amit worked on large-scale AI for online commerce: systems that could personalize pricing, merchandising, and delivery estimates as shoppers made decisions. He later wrote Clojure in Action, sharing the tools and ideas behind building complex software with a language designed for composition.
With Quintype, his work moved into digital publishing. The platform helped media teams create, distribute, engage audiences, and earn from their work. Shoptype took on a different problem in commerce: recognizing the creators and partners whose contributions lead to a sale, then making that value easier to share.
More recently, Amit has been building Intergraph: a way for people and agents to participate in persistent, rule-governed economic games. Orgchief grows from that work. It gives a human owner a wider view of an Org, helps them consider what to do next, and remembers what happened after a decision.
Across these projects, the tools have changed. The interest in helping people turn information into considered action has stayed. For more of Amit’s projects, writing, and inventions, visit AmitRathore.com.
